Beginning Wood Inlay

Enhance your Woodworking Projects with Inlay!

This class is meant to be an introduction to some basic inlay techniques. The class will consist of inlaying a straight boarder around a corner of a board and a 5-point star in the middle of the board (the star and border materials will be provided). The focus will be on hand work but some routing will be done for the bulk of the excavation.

• Minimum Class Size: 3 (If the minimum class size isn't met, the class will be canceled.)
• Expected Skills: Students should be knowledgeable in the use of chisels and a desirable skill would include use of a hand-held electric router.

Fees & Payment:

Class fees are based on your Guild membership level at the time you sign up for the class. Payment is required at the time of enrollment.

• "Sawdust Maker" Guild membership level price: $60
• "Woodworker Plus" / "Benefactor" Guild membership level price (20% discount): $48

Withdrawal Policy: Withdrawals made within seven (7) days of the start of the class will NOT receive a refund.

• Mallet
• Marking Knife
• Marking Gauge (Knife type)
• Chisels (3/4” and ¼” and/or desirable – 1/8” Chisel)

Important Requirements:

• Green Name Badge Is Required: Students must have a Green Name Badge to enroll in this class.
• Green Name Badge Requirements: You must complete the Guild’s online safety test and the Safety Orientation or Rough-to-Ready before the first course meeting. (The Membership Director provided access to the test in the welcome email you received upon joining.)
