Learn the Ancient Woodworking Technique of Kumiko!

Kumiko involves making decorative patterns with thin strips of wood. It was traditionally used in Japanese Shoji (a screen or sliding door that can be used as a partition or wall). In this class, students create a single Asa-no-ha pattern. Once the techniques are mastered, it opens the possibility of additional patterns and options to enhance woodworking projects.
